"This image was taken in Yanchep National Park earlier in the year and was inspired, in part, by an image released by Australian Photographer Peter Lik titled "Tree of Life".
What inspired me so much about Peter's image was the combination of the abstractness of the tree combined with the beautiful colours of nature and the symbolism of the journey of life that the tree gives us.
When I look at this image I see the branches of the tree representing the paths we take in life and the choices we make along the way.
The seemingly chaotic growth patterns the branches follow are, in reality, all logical actions and reactions made by the tree in response to its environment and surrounding influences.
In much the same way our lives can seem to resemble these seemingly chaotic growth patterns, however like the tree, we still have the choice of taking control and guiding our lives in the direction that will achieve out ultimate goals.
Much the same as the trees branches will always grow towards the light and away from the prevailing winds so can we direct our lives towards happiness and fulfillment.
Although we can try to hide from the truth, the fact is that we all have ultimate control and with that ultimate responsibility for how we grow and what we achieve!
Life is precious and too short so set your goals high, don't look down make yourself proud :)"
