"If you've never been to Monkey Mia in Shark Bay then you need to understand that it really is located in the middle of nowhere. It is a serene place where you really can escape from the realities and pressures of everyday life.
No image can ever do justice to the emotions and freedom you feel in a place like this but, for me, this print hints at that feeling the vast open spaces of Australia give you.
Taken from the beach north of Monkey Mia you can see Francois Peron National Park way off in the distance behind the lone Pelican floating in the sunset.
What you don't see are the wild dolphins playing in the shallows to my right, nor can you feel the breeze coming off the ocean or hear the wind rustling through the grasses in the dunes.
My goal for this image is to give you that feeling of Solitude and Peace that you only get in the Australian wilderness.

For those who do not know how we produce our art here is a little bit of information about our processes.
Our products are produced by Dave himself, from the initial photography to processing and creating the artwork and finally printing the Fine Art Print or Canvas. Framing & stretching can be done by Dave or your local Framer.
All our prints are individually signed prior to printing and then hand signed & dated on the back along with an identifying code after final inspection by Dave. We also provide a certificate of authenticity to accompany your print proving it is a genuine Dave Catley Fine Art Artwork. Quoting the information on your certificate will also allow us to identify your image and version at any time.
We only use best practices and professional tools to create our images. All the materials we use are archival quality meaning that they are fade resistant and will show no signs of deterioration for a minimum of 75 years. Try not to touch your prints directly as the acid from your fingers can cause damage, if you must handle your artwork then we recommend the use of cotton gloves.
