MADCAT Photography - February 2011 Newsletter
"Turning Walls Into Windows"
Hi,
We're well into the new year now, and what a year it's been for natural disasters. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to all those directly involved in any of the recent disasters or with family and friends in danger. These recent events really do reinforce just how fragile our lives are, lets make 2011 a year where we help rebuild and make sure we value the important things in life. After all, we're only here for a short period and everyone has a right to be happy, loved and supported while we're here.
It's been another busy period here at MADCAT, here's a few of the things that have been keeping us busy this year:
- We've opend a new exhibition at Trendi Cafe in Joondalup
- We've launched our new range of "Thongy Postcards"
- We're attending several City of Wanneroo Tourism Strategy workshops
- We will be displaying a large Canvas and catalogue in the Blue Lizard Gallery in Joondalup soon
We've also taken on two more web site projects for local businesses Kinzone Interior Design and West Coast Kitchens.
YouTube has become a major focus for our Social Media marketing strategy this month, we have been playing around with some video ideas and also started using video as a way to present clients with quick and easy to view results from our recent photoshoots. You can see examples from photo shoots we have done for Kinzone Photo Shoot Video and Mindarie Marina. Subscribe to our YouTube Channel or keep an eye on our Blog to see new videos as we release them.
Remeber you can find us on Twitter and Facebook, we're still working hard to get Facebook membership numbers up so don't forget to invite all your friends to "Like" us and enter our competition to win a 20" x 30" unstretched Canvas of our popular wave image "White Thunder 4".

"Thongy Postcards" - New Product Release
We're very excited to announce the launch of our new line of Postcards which we've called "Thongy Postcards".
In true Australian tradition these Postcards are die cut in the shape of an Aussie Thong sat on the beach, boardwalk or forest trail and each one portrays a unique Western Australian Fine Art image from MADCAT Photography.
Created from an concept by local printer Adam Hollister and designed by MADCAT Photography these new themed postcards are already proving to be very popular, both as quality postcards to send home and mementos of a great holiday in Western Australia.
After successfully trialling some prototypes of our "Thongy Postcards" last year we have just taken delivery of our first batch of production cards featuring a new updated design and new images.
Starting with some of our most popular images we will be expanding the range to cover Western Australia and with luck ultimately they will go Australia Wide.

If you would like to purchase a "Thongy Postcard" then you can visit Oceania Gifts at the Mindarie Marina or Sunshiners at Two Rocks or contact Maggie directly.

Great job Jean, the client was very happy and Jean has now entered the Austrlian Interior Design Awards using our images, Good Luck!

Web Site Design
Some of you may not be aware that Maggie and I are both professional Software & Web Site Developers (and have been for over 20 years), though we have largely left this side of our lives behind to pursue our Landscape Photography business we still create web sites for local small businesses.
Why not combine our Commercial Photography and Web Site design sevices and have a web site with stunning images that will really impress your clients ...
We have recently been commissioned by Kinzone Interior Design to rebuild their web site in a non-flash environment to ensure mobile compatibility and help her increase her hit rates and improve her online profile.
